This watercolor painting of a buffalo was adapted from a photo I took while on holiday in the Western states. The buffalo was sitting placidly while tourists walked along the raised pathways in Yellowstone Park. Green blades and a few flowers can be seen among the dead grass. The pines have fresh bright green needles. This piece won a First Place blue ribbon in the 2013 Silver Dollar Fair in Chico, CA.
