Materials Used: 140lb. Watercolor paper, polymer medium, polymer resist background, painted Enos with acrylic, magazine, painted paper, watercolor pencils, graphite crayon, glazing medium with acrylic, sealed with a layer of UV satin varnished.

Meaning behind the art: As I was cleaning out a section of my studio looking through and pitching things I happy to say I found my skate decks. Plan to so come creating on them soon. I multitask my way in and out of creating the collage today as I decluttered. Thinking about a workshop I have to present and tomorrow will be Flag Day and what does that mean anyways? Plus the continued chaos our world is in�not feeling all too happy about this all. Something has been missing for a long time, there�s a gap in our reality�and so this piece emotional came to the surface.

Bio Laura Lein-Svencner was raised in Downers Grove IL not far from her grandfather�s farm and resides now Darien Illinois for the past 30 years. She�s continued with her personal studies in drawing, printmaking, sculpture, papermaking and collage. Seeking inspiration from one artist to another, Laura has pursued her love of paper; this steady pace of exploration has led her to become a member of many local and international collage groups. She also co-founded the Midwest Collage Society which exhibits throughout the Midwest region. Her works has won many awards and most recently the 27th Annual Juried Exhibit with the National Collage Society.
