An afternoon line of storms passing over the southern tip of Hatteras Island on the Outer Banks of North Carolina; available in traditional fine art photography and painted photograph versions; this is the traditional version, 6449-52
As I was taking pictures of birds near the south end of Hatteras Island, I noticed a dramatic line of storm clouds approaching. I continued taking photos until the line of storms were directly aligned overhead then took this photo. Birds know when a storm is coming. Thier behavior began changing dramatically as the line of storms approached.
