I imaged this the evening after a tour through Warrumbungle Park by an aboriginal guide who lead us into a ceremonial cave where he played the didgeridoo. The whole experience was very surrel, which matched the mystery of these incredible southern skies. The 14 million year-old volcanic plug is a perfect foreground for our 14 billion year-old galaxy. Spending time under these remote night skies helps one understand the Aboriginal concept of "dreamtime".
