Happy children of the local mountain-top village give us a whimsical send-off by gawking at the camera. Lake Kivu is in the distance as we are up on the Nile-Congo Divide or the Eastern side of the Great Western Rift Valley. The Democratic Republic of Congo is in the distance on the other (western) side of the lake.
