This is a plein aire pastel painting I did one afternoon on Honeymoon Island. Honeymoon Island sits in the Gulf of Mexico, off of Dunedin, Florida. It is one of my favorite beaches to go to near my house because it has sections which are much more secluded than many of the local tourist spots. It is a state park, and is kept as a natural beach. It has not been crowded with condominiums and resorts.
