People are on a cruise line headed to the most exciting trip of a lifetime. They are in Alaska and they are gathered to photograph glaciers. You can feel their anticipation. As the ship gets closer to the glacier it gets windier and chillier. My hood is up and my camera is waiting to capture the moments. I am unaware of the weather because I am focused on snapping that button. I love photography!

At 12 yrs. old I was fascinated by this little box called a camera. If you pressed the button and brought the negatives to a drugstore, one week later photos would be returned in its' place. I didn't understand this magic. When I was old enough, I studied photography at Brooklyn College. I found that if I put my negatives in a thing called an enlarger a shadow would appear on photo paper. When I dropped that paper in some chemicals, a picture would emerge. Wow!
