This painting makes me happy!! The colors are really fun and, like his other pieces I own, expertly painted. I want to live in this cottage and walk into the ocean. Ordered it on canvas - well executed. Thank you for the smiles!

Artist's Description
(Copyright Mel Steinhauer all rights reserved) As our country expanded westward from the original 13 colonies, rivers became primary forms of travel. Cincinnati was founded on the Ohio River near the Little Miami and the Great Miami Rivers in 1788. It quickly became our 1st major inland city that rivaled east coast cities in size and wealth. In 1853, Cincinnati became the 1st U.S. city to have a paid full-time fire department and in 1869 the Cincinnati Red-Stockings were the 1st professional baseball team. The Reds even played the 1st major league night baseball game here at the old Crosley Field. In 2003 they named the new baseball stadium the Great American Ballpark and in 2011 the new Great American Tower became Cincinnati's tallest building. In July 2012 the largest steamboat ever built, The American Queen, stopped by for another visit. There are many more reasons why Cincinnati is truly an ... All American City.

A family of my own and a new career put that dream on hold for many years, but I had always enjoyed photography as an art form. Then, after surviving another kind of war with cancer back in 1997, I began to really see the beauty in our world. Ever since then I have been inspired with a new awareness of life and an improved photographic vision. This has compelled me to find beautiful scenes wherever I go and to share my favorite creations with others who may not have the time or...

Cincinnati is where my Dad's family, my great-great-great grandfather, immigrated to when they first came to America in the 1830's. They finally settled in Putnam County, Ohio, where my grandfather, Harry, became the county's first veterinarian. What a gorgeous image you have here! Nicely done HDR without overdoing it! Congrats on your sales!
