I fell in love with this photo the day that Jan posted it. The cards are beautiful, frame able for a small space. I like that they have plenty of room for writing or doodling inside.

Artist's Description

Anatol Josepho (1894-1980), Siberian photographer, with his invention, the automatic photo booth. Josepho (formerly Josephewitz) worked as a photographer in a number of countries, including Germany and China, while developing his idea for an automated photo machine. As well as designing the mechanics of the machine, called the Photomaton, he also invented the chemical processes that allowed the photographs to be developed on to the photographic paper without first producing a negative. After moving to New York, USA, Josepho was able to raise the money to build his machine and opened his first Photomaton studio in 1925. In 1927 Josepho sold the US rights to the machine for one million dollars.
