Beautiful image! I was there in June of this year V/F

George Cousins replied:

Lucky you,Brian! I missed my trip this year. You were at my favourite spot for Valley scenics. Glad you liked this one.

I really like the mix of color throughout the scene. Vibrant greens alongside the tans and triple tonality of blues from the water to the sky. v

Artist's Description

The Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia, Canada, is a very fertile stretch of farms and orchards running down the south-west side of Nova Scotia from Windsor to the general area of Digby. The valley is virtually flat, nestled between two ridges of hills, North and South Mountain, and has been settled since the mid 1600's. The largest crop is apples, but a huge variety of other fruits and vegetables are also grown. North Mountain separates the Valley from the tidal waters of the Bay of Fundy, and it's various associated bays. In this picture, taken from the lookout on North Mountain near the village of Canning, the waters of Minas Basin form a large indentation in the coastline.

In the past I've written articles for a number of magazines, illustrating them with my own photos. I love photographing whatever appeals to me or happens to catch my eye. Almost all of my images are of Canada, though I probably specialize more on the Atlantic and Pacific Coasts and the...
