This is a still life I created from some imperfect, homegrown apples, an old dish towel, and a beautiful bowl that was made by my friend, Richard Aerni. I set it up outside to take advantage of the sunlight, which created a dramatic lighting effect.
I am a 1977 graduate of Cornell's School of Architecture, Art & Planning with a BFA in Fine Arts, majoring in painting and printmaking. Upon graduation I received the Goodwin Sands Memorial Medal for "exceptional merit in art". After a long hiatus, I have recently resumed my art career, currently concentrating on digital photography.
I live with my family in the heart of the Finger Lakes region of New York State, and have enjoyed finding and capturing the extraordinary beauty in and around our 50-acre property.
