Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

ARCHED WALKWAY AT NOON shows one of the covered, arched walkways that surround the Inner Court at Mission San Juan Capistrano.
The day is warm and and everyone is inside. I finished and named this painting when the temperature outside was over 100 degrees. Really I cant imagine the mission without visitors up and down the many arched walkways. Jan
FINDING INSPIRATION TO CREATE FINE ART Nature is an inspiration for many of Jans paintings. She feels encouraged to paint by her surroundings at home in Trabuco Canyon. There are four huge Live Oaks on her property and people have horses, a goat and chickens nearby. There are about a hundred homes in this rural California community at an elevation of about 500 feet at the base of Saddleback Mountain. It gets hot in the summer and rains for a few weeks in the winter. MISSION SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO Jan fell in love with Mission San Juan Capistrano that is a short drive from her home. She spent many days at Mission San Jan Capistrano and has painted many mission scenes. Some of her many photos are displayed. Jan's scenes are embellished...
