About the Image

Ascent by Colleen Proppe

This is an original oil painting, by award winning, Marin County artist, Colleen Propp. This is part of her 2009 series "Cycling through Landscapes", which currently hangs in a local gallery in San Anselmo, California, and has shown through out Marin in 2009. Inspired by a cyclist ascending Ridgecrest Blvd. in Mt. Tamalpais State Park, Marin County, California. The clouds were really amazing that day, and it looked like he was climbing into the sky. For more information, please visit the artist's website at www.cproppe.com
