Alice Stewart Grimsley, native of the South Carolina Lowcountry, resides by Swinton Creek, Yonges Island. Born and reared in Charleston, she moved to Yonges Island amid the turmoil of Hurricane Hugo in 1989. Her studio, located at her home, provides a creative respite from the business aspect of her partnership in the Pink House Gallery. The Gallery, located at 17 Chalmers Street, in downtown Charleston, is a well known landmark - the oldest stone house in the city. You can find her originals and reproductions at the Pink House Gallery or online via her website. She is also an Artist in Residence for the South Carolina Arts Commission.
