I seem to lean torwards surrealism. I enjoy creating a subtle tension in my works subject matter so the viewer has to ponder a deeper meaning then just what is seen at face value. I use symbolism, famous artwork, multiple layers, and multiple mediums in my art. Sometimes I will use humor with a serious subject matter. I enjoy including the element of time and human conections within my drawings. I usually sketch out ideas for my work and have a plan for my final piece. However, as I begin I let the piece develop on its own and move in the direction the art is leading me. Most of the time it leads me in directions I never consciously thought of.
