About the Image

Austin 360 Bridge in Early Dawn by Lisa Spencer

This photograph of the Pennybacker Bridge or commonly known as the "Austin 360 Bridge" is true landmark of Austin, TX. It is a steel bridge with a rusty look that is often seen in color, but I like it in the old black & white look. On this early morning, it was very cloudy after a few days of rainstorms that is not often seen in Austin, TX in the summer. The bridge is 1,150 feet long with a 600-foot central arched span, and held in suspension by 72 steel cables over a lake popular for boating and recreational swimming.

About the Artist - Lisa Spencer

Lisa Spencer

Paintings and drawings have always been a part of my life. My art education ended when I graduated from high school despite my art teacher's encouragement, instead I decided to pursue the science field in college. However, I've always painted from time to time. Photographing weddings on the weekends became a part of my life for a few years. Photographing children have always been my favorite part of photography as well as landscapes. Having a family, I am awakened again with the inspiration of traditional oil paintings and drawings. Please visit my fine art painting website: www.lrspencer.com Thank you.
