Artist's Description

Aspen forest. American aspen trees (Populus tremuloides) in autumn colour. The aspen, a species of poplar, is also named the trembling aspen because it appears to tremble in the wind. Its rounded leaves have flattened stalks, allowing the blades to flutter in the slightest breeze. Photographed in British Columbia, Canada.
