North West Cove is one of many tiny fishing communities along the south shore of Nova Scotia, Canada, It is on the shore of the Aspotaghan Peninsula, and is situated on a little cove which gives protection from the storms of the North Atlantic Ocean. The main occupation is fishing lobsters and other inshore fish. Homes and fishing wharves and sheds are scattered along the shore, making everything as convenient as possible for a life style that can be hard when the weather is bad. Autumn brings a sea of brilliant leaves as the maples and other hardwoods burst into colour.

Hi, my name is Janet but I go by Jann, and I am originally from Ontario, Canada and have lived on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, since 1985. I was initially trained as a Commercial Artist and Illustrator and eventually explored many other methods of art/style as well as other mediums. I work in pencil, ink, acrylics, watercolor and oil pastels. I have also enjoyed mosaic design and application, floor murals, wall murals, collapsible screens, floor cloths, graphic design.
