Azure Blue Mountain Lake: The azure blue colour of the lake water is the result of rock flour in the water and the reflection of the blue sky. The steep scree slope across the lake is very unstable and subject to rock slides in the summer and snow slides in the winter so that only a small fringe of vegetation at the edge of the lake has been able to get a foothold. Wherever I go I am on alert for those fleeting moments when the world reveals a special image with that magical combination of atmosphere, texture, character, and purity, cleverly disguised and woven into the fabric of the every day. Sometime you only have a split second to capture it. Sometime … maybe once every 1,000 times … you get it just right and are able to record and preserve an exquisite visual memento that otherwise would have vanished, lost forever in the relentless motion of space, light, and time. The camera is my tool and "digital film" is my canvas. I am driven to chronicle the world as I pass through it and hopefully you will be moved by some of the wonderful images that have presented themselves.
