Artist's Description
Bacterial colonies. Petri dish containing colonies of bacteria cultured from a hand print found in a house. The print was lifted from a surface on a growth medium gel. This has been done to study the number and type of bacteria found throughout the home. Studies such as this show the prevalence of dirt and bacteria throughout the home, and highlight particularly unhygienic areas.
