About the Image

Bagley's Deep Dive by Chad Berglund

May 2013 acrylic on 24x12 canvas painting entitled "Bagley's Deep Dive". The star in this painting is one of my favorite lures, the Bagley DB-06, which has plenty of battle scars catching Northern Pike and Musky in Minnesota lakes. This colorful piece was painted primarily with simple tools like a kitchen spatula, sponge and some minor brush work as one of my first attempts to try something a bit different. Hope you fisherman enjoy this one as it really looks like a keeper on the den wall.

About the Artist - Chad Berglund

Chad Berglund

Hello- my name is Chad Berglund and I am a hobbyist fineart painter. IT engineer by day and weekend escape artist to keep the creativity flowing. I recently started painting again in early 2012. Loved art classes back 25+ years ago but had not touched a brush or pencil until I decided to paint a picture with my son...instantly hooked again! My current weapon of choice is acrylic paints on stretched canvas via brush, spatula, sponge or whatever achieves the effect I want to achieve. No computer based digital paintings, just old school painting as that is what interests me the most. Subject matter is all over the map but my love for fishing, travel, a fresh Neapolitan pizza pie and beach life are my current inspirations that I try...
