The size and scale of this tree is difficult to convey in a photograph. For this reason, I want to call your attention to the telling graffiti that has been carved into its surface. If I stood on tiptoes with my arms stretched up then I would only just be able to touch the bottom point of the heart.
About Megan Dirsa-DuBois
After marching in formation wearing the same outfit as everyone else around me for more than 25 years, I'm finally pursuing my artistic passion. I'm a retired military veteran -- a photo-journalist and newspaper editor -- turned freelance graphic designer and illustrator.
