Gardeners are artists who paint with flowers. They consider composition, color and texture, but then throw in something I never had to consider, fragrance.
I'm not a gardener but I imagine there must be great satisfaction in growing a cutting garden and assembling a beautiful bouquet each day. What fun!
If I were a gardener I have flowers like this. This bloom has a quiet beauty, it's simple, the kind of flower a child would draw, a multitude of petals arrranged around a bright purple center. Gotta love simplicity.

Robinson grew up in the Midwest and has lived in Arizona for nearly 25 years. “When we moved to the desert southwest I was immediately taken with the exotic the beauty I saw all around me. Where some saw only rocks and dirt, I saw a sense of majesty. I love the sculptural shapes of the cacti and the way light and shadow plays on their form.”
In addition to her contemporary take on southwestern art, Robinson enjoys painting abstracts, unusual objects (check out her robot painting, “A Boy and His Dog”) and capturing people at play.
