I discovered photography when I went to Girl Scout camp at the age of 11. I only dabbled at it on and off for several years until I was pregnant with my first son. At that point I decided I needed something other than a Brownie camera and with the purchase of a used Nikormat, I started a whirlwind of photo heaven. It started with people asking me who took the pictures of my baby, so I started doing portraits. Then a few years later I moved to Hawaii where I was hired to work at a newspaper, and the GM discovered my talent for photography, so I was sent on photo assignments -- being flown into active volcanic area, over the town of Kona, greeting celebrities, covering the Ironman Triathlon, and being hired to cover the World...
