This piece was conceived around the blackberries which are abundant in the Pacific Northwest this time of year. The other elements were added for color and additional form. The vase is taken from a work by Ernst Czernotsky, the backgroud picture is a work of David de Noter Pronkstilleven. Both elements were collected from wikimedia commons. All the other elements were shot with a Nikon D-70-s camera. Post manipulation was in photoshop using multiple personal filters and a variety of editing techniques developed over 10 years of experimentation. (They are my little secret). This is presented in the vein of the grand masters. Hope you enjoy.
