Artist's Description
The name of this painting is Bloomin Hearts. It is a tree with blooms of colorful hearts that represent the fruit of love, joy, peace, hope, and kindness. This is in my folk art style of painting and is an Acrylic on canvas with India ink used to emphasis areas I felt needed to be. . . . . . . . . . .In nature blossoms is a term typically used for flowers on trees that produce fruit; some of these are plums, oranges, peaches, apples, cherries, and almonds. Typically these are either pink or white in color. I have taken artist liberties and made multiple colors for my heart blossoms. . . . . . . . . . Part of the process the blossoms participate in to reproduce and produce the fruit is by providing pollen for the bees to pollinate with. Just as when we as humans offer up love, joy peace, hope, and kindness to others; it spreads to others around us
About Marcia Weller-Wenbert
I have been drawing, painting, and crafting since I was a child. Living in Oregon where God provided color everywhere you look, along with rainy days to encourage a lot of indoor activites, I spent hours painting and drawing. Now that I have entered the empty-nester stage of life, I am blessed with additional time to focus on art. Over the years I have found that I enjoy creating artwork with a single subject and infused with a lot of color. My style has been described as unique, colorful, and whimsical. Currently I am working with acrylics on canvas, scratch art with India ink, and watercolor. You will find that my more recent work contains several cactus paintings.
