This colored pencil drawing was created from a photograph I took of an iris when visiting in Denver, Colorado. I work with prisma colored pencils to create the different values you see in the individual petals of this work. I love to create a high contrast of light against darks in my work. I choose this photograph to work from because I loved the intense blues in the original photo. I hope you have enjoyed this drawing and will share it with others.
