Love the painting and the rich colorful blues, reds, greens, & yellows! A nice addition to our cowboy/southwest decor vibe.

Beautifully expressed rendition of the Shrine of the Bab. The frame and matting showcase the print. We have it prominently on our living room wall with other sacred pictures.

I think the frame and mat work very well with this, it is really impressive in person. Grouped with a small Grant Wood with high quality lighting it sets the mood for a Georgia farmhouse.
Artist's Description
This piece, "BLURRING THE LINES" is something of an abstract. Well, it's half of one at least. I was attempting to try to blend the magic realism sort of thing I have going with my work into something that was a bit more current decor/abstracty, (my word), in style. That evolved into this forest piece. The idea was that we have windows on clarity but the reality around us is often much more abstract, out of focus, blurred . . . I worked with an earthy palette because I find it so soothing and felt it would keep the piece positive and uplifting. And, as always, I hope it's easy on the eyes.

John, I have to tell you, I'm very impressed by all of your work, so different, and so edgy. This is quite a unique take on the ever-popular birch tree forest. I'm immensely enjoying browsing your galleries. Voted

Thank you, very much, Doug. Feels good to hear. Just posted this one to my Facebook Fanpage and it's getting great response. I wasn't sure if it would strike a chord.
