About Stephen Rea
Stephen Rea born Blackley, Manchester in 1962 1978- Attended Bolton Collage of A&D, studying, Fine art, Art history, Photography and Interior Design My first works were exact reproductions, inspired by The Impessionists, Turner, Rembrant, Michelangelo,De Vinci and Tom Keating. I sold my first commissioned in 1980- "Quiet Evening" by Spolaar, using the exact technique of the original. In 1983 I moved to Angelsea, where I was invited to join the, D.A.I Studios, a working gallery in Caernarfon. The gallery owner, David Williams believed that I had the potential to become an accomplished watercolour Artist, and encouraged me to experiment within this field.
