This Family trio of Bobcats, Mom and her two youngsters running down a snowy hillside in the winter. Bobcat litters of range in size from 1 to 6 kittens, weighing 10-12 ounces at birth. The Kittens are weaned at 12 weeks of age and independent of their mother at 10-12 months. They are tawny to gray with indistinct black spotting. They have a cheek ruff and a short stubby tail. Only the mother takes care of them. As they grow, she will bring live animals (like mice) back to the den, so the kittens can practice hunting.
