This watercolor painting of a sweet young girl sitting on a tree stump reading her favorite book is a commissioned watercolor portrait hand-painted by Hanne Lore Koehler. The parents did not take many photos of their three daughters when they were young and now that the children were grown up, they requested separate portraits of each girl. I was given a photo to use as reference for her face and given a bit of insight into her childhood likes and character. Other than the face, the rest of the composition is from my imagination.
