About Jean Noren
My passion is underwater and nature photography. I particularly like finding patterns and designs in nature and getting down to the very basics with super macro views. In my early years, I had extremely poor vision and, as a consequence, I would get very close to things in order to see them. I think this handicap influenced my technique as I tend to try and create brightly colored, closely cropped, in-your-face images that are easy to see. Revealing the beauty in the mundane is my goal. I live in the countryside of western Oregon and have no trouble finding frogs, birds, mushrooms and flowers to photograph.I travel to warm waters for underwater shots as often as possible. Enjoy the photos.

These boots send a message of comfort. The bending and folds of the leather says it's so. Nice blending of colors in this shot. v
Jean Noren replied:
Thanks Mary, they do look well worn dont they?

The colors are so warm and I like the scuffed flooring...v
Jean Noren replied:
Thanks Kandy, This was in a wine tasting room in an old train station. Wonderful atmosphere.
