Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Excellent image designed for a great cause. My aunt died from lung cancer that metastasized into bone cancer with fast spreading tumors. She wasn't a smoker, four years earlier, she had watched an old hotel building imploded, and she inhaled the dust cloud. She first was diagnosed with silicosis of the lungs, and it all went downhill from there. Two separate neighbors who went to watch died around the same time as her with the same lung cancer that metastasized into bone cancer. Who knows what that toxic dust cloud contained. I voted for this image.
Luke Moore replied:
Thank you Joseph for your comments...I'm sorry to hear about your aunt. Amazing what bad chemicals and elements can be in those old buildings and debris. Interesting link you bring up between cancer and the dust cloud from implosion. I sometimes will go into old abandoned buildings and I religiously wear a p100 respirator. There was one or two times that I didn't early on and you can't help but wonder about exposure and asbestos and other materials. Thank you for stopping by

Luke I really like this one and the message, heart, and care that seep through in your art. I too give to the Susan G Komen foundation when I sell my art. This is the higher thing for us to do to give back. Thanks for touching my heart and others with this wonderful art piece.
Luke Moore replied:
Thank you Spencer! I really appreciate your thoughtful comment :) I'm hoping create more with the pink ribbon. A great cause for both of us to donate to.

LOVELY GESTURE LUKE- BEING A 'TWICE' BREAST CANCER SURVIVOR MYSELF...I CAN RELATE TO THIS V/F
Luke Moore replied:
Thank you Jean! The word "survivor" is such a nice word to hear :) Thank you for taking the time to stop by and make a very personal comment. I would love to do a few more ribbon/Breast Cancer pieces, in the process of throwing some more ideas around in my head :)

Donating a small, gallery wrapped canvas print. The print is going to a friend's local breast cancer event. She is having a Zumba Fundraiser beforehand to help collect donations for her walking team, which in turn will be donated towards the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Boston in October. Here is a link to her event: http://www.facebook.com/events/420572224667581/
