I find Brown Thrashers just delightful! I love their rich chestnut brown color paired with spotted white bellies. And those piercing gold eyes are amazing! This particular bird put on quite a show for me as he sat on a nearby power wire and fluffed himself up. Do you know this species of bird can sing over 1,100 songs? And here I thought it was my Mockingbird I was hearing...now I know she has competition in the singing arena!
