Congrats on your sale!

Congratulation on your sale!!!!

Amazing work - among other amazing pieces I see that you have done. I would love to feature your work in the group "Buddhism," which I just started. Please join and offer some images and any thoughts you may have on the subject.

Brilliant detailed artwork, traditional and majestic!

super!

Thanks, Basant. Very kind of you to comment.

What a traditional... fantastic art work..Congrats for sale of print

Thank you all for your comments. When I look at this piece, it's almost as if it was created by someone else. Thirteen years have passed since I made it and I can no longer imagine stitching each of those little figures, one by one. It was a great gift from my teachers that I was able to do it.

very nice piece of art..love the attention to details in your work

Magnificent!

He is surrounded by representations of the six perfections which are to be cultivated on the path to enlightenment Generosity, Patience, Enthusiastic Effort, Ethical Discipline, Concentration, and Wisdom and supported on a lion throne of fearlessness.

About Leslie Rinchen-Wongmo

Leslie Rinchen-Wongmo, a Californian who has lived in many places, creates lively stitched silk images. She developed her skill in four years of apprenticeship to Tibetan craftsmen in India and is one of few non-Tibetans to have mastered their traditional textile art. Leslie has always loved working with fabric and colors as well as working on herself, so it gives her great pleasure to be able to create inspiring images of personal transformation from pieces of colorful fabrics. All the better when those images also inspire others! She studied design at the University of California in Santa Cruz and continues to broaden her education with art and textile studies in California and Europe.
