I noted that the color came out differently on this size of bag, it is distinctly more purple. I happen to love that color also--the larger size has perfect color, exactly like the photo. I love both of my bags.

A delight for all ages, this unique hand-painted carousel features the colorful medieval history of days gone by.. in Carcassonne; Europe's largest, functioning, double-walled, medieval cite.
It's been a UN World Heritage site since 1998. Charlemagne wanted to conquer the city but for a clever woman, Dame Carcas. She saved the inhabitants by brilliant trickery to ward off his 8 month seige.! Depicted in one scene of the panels above is the "tossing of the last pig in town" (who'd been stuffed with last food in town..) over the city wall to demonstrate that the people had plenty of reserves.. (of course...they didn't..) But it was enough to finally send the Invader packing! When Madame saw the troops retrieving, she told the people to "ring the bells in celebration".. So, in French, they rang (sonne)!
The Cite of Carcassonne dates before the time of Christ as a Roman fort.. A song from the 1800's, says: "DON'T DIE Before You See Carcassonne!.." True! .. & bri...
