I love painting these Conway street scenes with the beautiful hanging baskets of flowers, light poles marching down the sidewalks and beautiful crape myrtles. I'm an Arkansas artist, who continues to be inspired by the natural beauty of the land and it's people. I developed a rich imagination as a child, visualizing people, events and places as I listened to stories told by my grandparents. This ability has served me well over my lifetime as an artist.
I began my art career in the late 1960's using oil paints and I taught that medium for many years at my studio in Conway. I studied watercolors and acrylics in the mid seventies and used these two water based media almost exclusively for many years. Recently however, I find myself reaching once again for my oil paints.
