What a creative idea. Love it!

awesome

So steampunk! I love it!

I love this nostalgic feeling! Wonderful work!!

Truly amazing photograph with a sci-fi feel to it. Lovely color and your processing here works so well. Congrats.

Love the feeling this one exudes!

This is a great image. I love the nostalgic feeling that it imparts, and the ride has a bit of surrealism to it as well. Nice job.

Hello Andrew! What a great presentation of this famous ferris wheel in Glenelg. I recently saw it myself when we visited the area. It was Good Friday and since most everything was closed in Adelaide, we spent a lovely day in Glenelg. I love what you have done to make it look so "antique." Kirsten

Almost looks to strange to be real, I would like to go on that ride.

Fantastic image and processing! Love!

my favorite from you Andrew! glad to see it on FAA :))

Didn't know you were on FAA, Andrew -- great to 'see' you! Congrats on the sale of your lovely image!

What a beautiful Ferris Wheel, beautifully captured, Andrew. Looks like it would fun to take a ride on it!

Artist's Description

The Adelaide Eye, as we called it.. Australia. A not so giant ferris wheel, located across the road from our apartment in Glenelg, where we stayed over the weekend. I’ve always wanted to capture a ferris wheel, never had the chance to do it until this moment.

About Andrew Paranavitana

Andrew Paranavitana

My work often takes two avenues of theme: a darker, sometimes scary world of unseen nightmares, and a nostalgic playground of warm memories, much safer and happier than the former. I have always looked further than traditional methods of photography. Digital manipulation has allowed me to communicate and share my view of the world. I have a need to lace my work with elements of obscure visions and deliver a piece the viewer can connect with on multiple levels. Andrew Paranavitana is an independent photographic artist. His driving passion for photography began in 1994. Since then, Andrew has exhibited works both internationally and within Australia and in 2014, completed a Diploma of Photo Imaging at RMIT in Melbourne. Andrew’s...
