About the Artist - Dona Desjardins

Dona Desjardins

Noted Florida artist, Dona Desjardins, has been featured in publications such as Tampa Bay Magazine. Her work has been shown all across the state and she has collectors from as far away as Hawaii (so far). While she's an accomplished artist in various media, her painting on silk has drawn the most attention. "It's an evolving style", she says, "a combination of a watercolor painterly style and serti (wax resist) technique, used in batik. There's alot of planning involved before the dye ever touches the silk. There is no chance to erase or paint over."
