I think that something of the impact on me of the documentary, �Cave of Forgotten Dreams� comes through in this painting. The film documented the recently discovered, amazing 35,000 year old cave drawings in Chauvet, France -- the oldest thus far discovered.
About Mary Sullivan
Mary Sullivan creates "in the spirit of nature" which she experiences as boundless creativity and variety. According to Sullivan creating in the spirit of nature is a fascinating journey. A journey inspired by painter Edvard Munch's quote, "Nature is not only all that is visible to the eye . . . it also includes the inner pictures of the soul." For the past few years she has concentrated on using water media with a limited palette of permanent light fast inks or acrylics. Mary exhibits with a regional group of abstract artists, Art Beyond Tradition, and with the Art League of Hilton Head and with Maye River Gallery in Bluffton SC. In 2010 Sullivan was awarded a grant by the Arts Council of Beaufort County with funds...
