In this Wedding Wall hanging I used Applique, Soft Sculpture and Quilting, On Purple fabric, Bright flowers, butterflies, and a Celtic Cross were stitched, An open window with lace curtains frame the colorful cross - representing radiant joy in the midst of the sacrifice of commitment in marriage. This was made for our son, Matthew's marriage to Nohelia Talavera in Matagalpa Nicaragua....I wrote the following poem:..............................................................................IN THE SECRET, SACRED PLACE
Jesus Speaks to my heart:
I take your sadness
and turn it to joy.

1951-1955 Attended Greenwood High School, in Greenwood, South Carolina.
Chosen to represent that school at Girls State.
1959-BS degree from University of Tennessee Knoxville, in Home Economics- Child Development, minor in literature.
1960-Married James S. Hornsby
1961-1963 Taught 3rd grade at Elkmont School (while Jim was at Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, Virginia)
1964-1978 Accompanied Jim in Young Life urban ministry, Jacksonville FL. Began...
