Absolutely loved my print. The depth and details are spectacular and the quality of the print is fantastic. I framed this in a white frame and didn't have the exact size handy so kept the lower space intentionally open. I love how it came out.

I bought this for a friend who lived in France for many years. Now that she is back in the states she misses France her favorite country. When I spoke with her on the phone she absolutely loved it. It showed all the places she lived or visited. She loved that it had an antique flair. She is getting it framed when she can. This my gift for her to bring up her spirits. She has stage 4 cancer. We live in 2 different cities & are comrades & would do anything for each other. When I saw it in the website I knew I had to buy it. Great work. When the young Dutch girl was captured by pirate Charles Gibbs in the Caribbean in 1818, he defended her against his crew, but later allowed her to be poisoned. Charles Gibbs (1798-1831) was an American pirate (real name James D. Jeffers) who was one of the last active in the Caribbean during the early-19th century and was among the last executed for piracy by the United States. His career, like many others during this time, was marked by violence and brutality. Jeffers admitted to have been involved in the killing of as many as 400 victims. His confessions detailing his career were recorded and published following his death and remained popular reading, though historians have questioned the accuracy of Jeffers's confessions.
