Absolutely loved my print. The depth and details are spectacular and the quality of the print is fantastic. I framed this in a white frame and didn't have the exact size handy so kept the lower space intentionally open. I love how it came out.

I love this print! Her dress is so pretty and victorian and I can daydream that this is me in another lifetime , contemplating life while visiting the sea

I bought this for a friend who lived in France for many years. Now that she is back in the states she misses France her favorite country. When I spoke with her on the phone she absolutely loved it. It showed all the places she lived or visited. She loved that it had an antique flair. She is getting it framed when she can. This my gift for her to bring up her spirits. She has stage 4 cancer. We live in 2 different cities & are comrades & would do anything for each other. When I saw it in the website I knew I had to buy it. Great work. A big thank you for your talent & putting out there to buy your beautiful map!!!

Just exactly what I was looking for. Next time I’m in SFO, I’ll be sure to wear flowers in my hair! Thank you so much for bringing back all those memories.

I love her. She looks great in the space.
Artist's Description
Chicago, like every large city, is made up of neighborhoods which define its character more than do downtown buildings. Chicago's famous skyline and architecture may be the face the city presents to the world. But the neighborhoods are its heart and soul.
About J Loren Reedy
Primarily self-taught, I painted my first painting shortly after retiring from my "real job" of thirty-five years as a bureaucrat for the state. I bought a how-to-paint book, a few paints and brushes and began painting. I began painting with oils. Recently I gave acrylics a try and find I enjoy that medium, too. My style is evolving, meaning the results vary from painting to painting. While I don't exhibit or sell any work I'm not proud of, some paintings do come closer to my style objective than others. And, yes, some paintings are trashed! Collectors from Hawaii to New England and Alaska to Florida have purchased my work. (Hopefully, the internet will expand the market for me to the rest of the world!) Visit my website at J Loren...

Hey, Martin. I remember Charles Kuralt fondly. Still watch Sunday Morning every week. The neighborhood in the foreground is South Lakeview, Chicago; specifically the 3000 block of north Halsted St.

Congratulation on your sale!

The late reporter & essayist, Charles Kuralt (you can google him), once wrote how nobody lives in New York city, rather they live in New York neighborhoods which are like small towns that are connected to each other. This painting makes me think of that alluring idea. Good job! P.S. Which neighborhood is in the foreground?
