One of my favorite themes in photographing cemeteries are the many cross gravestones that are present in the Catholic, Christian and other cemeteries. This shot was taken at Saint Joseph Cemetery, Evansville, Indiana in 2008 and processed in Photoshop.
My photography involves paths of various themes: a gloomier, occasionally frightening realm of hidden dreams and past remembrances, sentimental playgrounds of childhood memories and a desire to explore the various spiritual offerings people have for their loved ones.
Initially working with 35 mm, then large format black and white photography, the development of the digital process has allowed my vision to grow exponentially, both in color and B&W. My computer is my new darkroom: the use of Photoshop, Lightroom and other software has allowed me to reconnect and share my vision of the world.
I pare my work with foundations of ambiguous apparitions and convey a vision the viewer can bond with on many levels.
