Back in my college days I had started a portrait montage of Clark Gable for my wife. I promised I would finish it for her but never did. Not because I was lazy or wanted to break a promise but because I didn't feel like I had the skill level necessary to make it as awesome as I would have liked it to be for her. I recently unearthed the partially completed portrait from my college days and decided it was long overdue to make good on that promise. What you see here is the result of hiding out in my studio, staying up late into the morning hours creating this for her in secrecy. Our 14th yr. anniversary is coming up soon. I think it will make a nice gift....hopefully...... :)

About Me: I've been drawing and painting since I was a little kid. Probably 4 or 5 years old, like many of you. I always knew I was an artist to some degree. Not because of my work but because of the way I would feel while doing it. Peaceful and calm. Creating art is my church, literally. Time stops, all the wrongs of the world dissolve and it's just me going through the motions one pencil or brush stroke at a time. I know a lot of you other artists can relate and don't need me to really explain any of it. I was born in Texas, raised in Massachusetts, eductated (formally) in San Francisco and now reside back in Texas not too far from where my story began back in 1977. I work a day job as a graphics / packaging designer and freelance...
