I took a different approach in this latest butterfly in the clockwork series. Similar to "Clockwork Butterfly No. 2," this painting is closer to what I was intending in the earlier painting. The color management was handled differently, with the background being subdued by mixing grays with the colors to subdue the background area, so the butterfly would "pop" into the foreground.
