One day outside of my window I found quite an enormous bug trying to get in through my screen. Being rather fond of bugs I decided to find out exactly what this creature was. To my chagrin I found that it was an assassin bug or kissing bug. Probably it was a hapless hitchhiker from the property below mine (a greenhouse which imported plants) and was drawn to the bird feeder outside of my window. Assassin bugs are predators as it turns out and what is more, while relatively benign in the North, they spread rather nasty illnesses in the Southern hemisphere. BIOGRAPHIC... Two years ago, Connecticut born artist Jeremiah Welsh completed almost 15 years as a contractual sculptor for an international bronze firm. This position afforded Jeremiah with the opportunity to engage diverse subject matter for governmental, non-profit & private clientele across the United States and around the world. While working professionally in bas relief bronze, he has also had the pleasure of exhibiting his personal work within the United States and Japan - just completing his first solo exhibition in Tokyo in January 2014.
