I have special feelings with Cosmos.
It give me joy, and makes me sad at the same time.
I grew up with country side of small town
and we had beautiful cosmos in the field
in fall time.
I see cosmos in summer here
in Fairfax, Virginia.
It's not the same.
I remember the wide open rice field
Especially in late fall,
in harvest time.
I painted this remembering the town I grew up in South Korea.
It is important to engage with current time and
embrace what I have and where I am.
And go on toward the future.
But it certainly is a precious gift
to have a beautiful memory of past.
