Painted on location at the Carpenter Ranch about 20 miles west of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, near Hayden, Colorado, this painting depicts the beauty of the west. Note the sage flats, purple mountains, puffy white clouds and cottonwood trees along with the split rail fence. The Carpenter Ranch is in a conservancy and remains a working ranch.
