Quite an original concept with great execution. Has a beautiful feeling reminiscent of Andrew Wyeth's work.

Artist's Description

A cougar stalks the tall grasses of an overgrown field. A cabin rests at the top of the next rise behind the big cat. Perhaps the residents of that cabin have seen the cougar and are keeping their doors closed tight. This is actually the same cougar model I used for "Coffee with a Cougar" I just wanted to see how he'd look close up. After completing it I let it sit for a few days before viewing it again. It was only then that I realized that the cat looks a bit like he's...um...marking his territory. Nonetheless I still rather like this image so I published it anyway.

About Daniel Eskridge

Daniel Eskridge

I am a forty-something living in the Metro-Atlanta area -- one of the few people who was actually born and raised here. I'm married and have two sons. By day, I am a senior software engineer. But, by night I am a 3D render artist. I have dual degrees from the University of Georgia, one in Computer Science, the other in Fine Art. So, it seems only natural that I attempt to combine the two by producing art using a computer. Plus, I find that it's a bit more practical than painting as it doesn't require all of the clean up, harsh chemicals, or expensive supplies. In fact, I have been a render artist since some of the first ray-tracing programs were made publicly available in the mid 80's. To follow me on facebook CLICK HERE. Check...
